1. Reconstitute using Bacteriostatic Water (BAC).
2. Example: Add 2.0 mL of BAC Water to a 5mg vial for a 2.5 mg/mL solution, or to a 10mg vial for a 5.0 mg/mL solution.
3. Inject BAC water slowly down the inner glass wall of the vial—do not squirt directly onto the lyophilized powder cake.
4. Gently swirl (do not shake) until the lyophilized powder dissolves completely into a clear liquid.
5. Store reconstituted SMX in the refrigerator at 2°C – 8°C (36°F – 46°F) and use within 28 days.

Standard Daily Dosage: 100 mcg to 300 mcg per administration, taken 1 to 3 times daily.

Optimal Timing: Best administered via subcutaneous injection on an empty stomach (30 minutes prior to eating or before bedtime).
